SC-166-90: Silk regimental Dimensions: 39” x 52” Fringe

Description:

This regimental flag is made of a red piece of silk embroidered with the coat of arms of the United States.  Below the coat of arms are crossed flags with an outer white border around a red square and below that is a ribbon bearing the regimental designation.  It reads “214TH FIELD BATT’L’N U.S. SIGNAL CORPS”.  A fringe is attached to the top, bottom, and fly edge of the flag.  The hoist end was fashioned into a sleeve for attachment to the staff.

The staff, which measures 88.5” by 1.25”, is topped by a spade-shaped finial.  A rounded cap is attached to the bottom of the staff.

SC-170-90: Silk national Dimensions: 40.5” x 52” Fringe

Description:

This 48-star silk national flag has embroidered stars arranged in six rows of eight.  There is some diagonal fading in the canton from the upper hoist corner where the flag was exposed to light in the capitol cases.  A gold-colored fringe is attached to the top, bottom, and fly edge.  The hoist end is fashioned into a sleeve for attachment to the staff.

The staff, which measures 88.5” by 1.25”, is topped by a spade-shaped finial.  A rounded cap is attached to the bottom of the staff.
