Wilcox Elementary Visits Save the Flags
On Wednesday, December 4, 2024, students from Wilcox Elementary School in Holt, Michigan visited the flag storage unit at the state museum as a part of the Michigan Historical Center’s Big History Lesson.
The students are standing next to the battle flag of the Third Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Some of the soldiers of the Third fought with company G, that formed in Lansing and included men from the Holt area. We would like to thank the teachers, students and parents of Wilcox Elementary for their interest in and support of the Michigan Capitol Battle Flag Collection and Save The Flags.
