Elmwood Station Questers

On Tuesday, August 13, 2024, Save The Flags hosted members and friends of the Elmwood Station Questers. The members are posed in front of the standard of the Seventh Michigan Cavalry Regiment and battle flag of the 6th Michigan Cavalry. One of the Quester’s members is a descendant of a trooper who fought with the 7th Cavalry. Both the 6th and 7th, as well as the 1st and 5th Michigan Cav. regiments, were part of the famed Michigan Cavalry Brigade which fought under the leadership of General George Armstrong Custer, of Monroe, Michigan.
