The Adkins Visit Save the Flags
Save the Flags was happy to host Kristen and Drake Adkins on April 2, 2025 for a tour of the collection and the Heritage Hall conservation lab. Drake is a 7th grade homeschool student and a member of the Ann Arbor Civil War Roundtable. He is writing a research paper on the Michigan Capitol Battle Flag collection with specific focus on the history of the flags of the Twentieth Michigan Infantry Regiment. Colonel Byron Cutcheon, commander of the 20th, was an 1861 graduate of the law school at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. We are always encouraged by our association with young, knowledgeable and passionate historians such as Drake, supported in their interests by parents such as Kristen.
