Save the Flags Thanks Douglas Hinton III

On Thursday, October 3, 2024, Mr. Douglas Hinton III adopted a flag carried by the Sixth Michigan Cavalry Regiment during the Civil War.  Mr. Hinton is a descendant of two troopers who fought with the Sixth—Seth and Holland Simmons. Mr. Hinton has quickly become a steadfast supporter of Save The Flags, having donated a flag to the collection this past summer that was used by the Blair Camp of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War and also recently making a second monetary donation to honor that flag. We are so fortunate to have so many supporters and friends of the flags like Mr. Hinton.
